CHRISTMAS STARTS WITH CHRIST
BUY A BUS STOP!
The 2009 campaign poster featured a painting by Andrew Gadd depicting the nativity set in a bus stop. The poster was piloted in 2008 and received an endorsement from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Churches could buy for £100 (plus £5 admin) bus stop advertising space for the poster.
By early December we let churches know the location of their bus stops. We endeavoured to get one as close to individual churches as possible, subject to availability. When sites were not available nearby, we offered a site elsewhere and asked that churches consider it as part of their outreach.
Our aim was to enable the campaign to reach as much of the country as possible with the message, Christmas starts with Christ.
Churches which took part needed to do nothing else beyond booking. We made all the arrangements for the poster to be displayed for two weeks in the run-up to and over the Christmas period. |
